9W2FKT-3 is up for test run before we move it to its final location which is at Bukit http://www.penangaprs.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=126&action=editBendera in collaboration with MARTS and the digipeater will be rename to 9M4RPP-3 after the move.
We were running narrow band receiving for the entire January 2015 and the outcome is interesting compare to December 2014 which was on wideband. Down side receiving on narrow band is that we missed a lot packets from 9W2ZKG (Gunung Jerai Digipeater) as they appears to running wideband. January 2015 …
Second day after the iGate is up and running and data collected is impressive, we manage to cover 80% of east coast of Penang island and some part of mainland which was not possible previously.
Our iGate is currently back online, and surprisingly the transceiver upgrade allow the iGate to receive 9W2FKT’s signal directly all the way from batu maung after he left 9W2POP’s QTH which was impossible previously when we rely on portable radio connected to the iGate as receiver and the same antenna setup and location.
